“Over the past three years, there has been nothing good in the health of the couturier”

More than two weeks have passed since the death of Slava Zaitsev. However, his friends still cannot come to terms with the departure of the eminent fashion designer. Sorbit and his former director Nikolai Golovin, whom Vyacheslav Mikhailovich called the right hand during his lifetime. After the departure of the fashion designer, difficult times came in Golovin’s life: he ended up in the hospital with serious fractures and underwent a difficult operation.

“I fell and broke my shoulder,” Nikolai says. – This happened on the eve of the funeral of Vyacheslav Mikhailovich. Everything happened trivially. In a dark corridor, he collided with an English chair and badly injured his hand. I had a compound fracture. After a detailed examination, the doctors performed the operation. The bone was collected surgically and a titanium plate was placed. Now I will go with her.

Did you miss the funeral because of this?

– I was in confusion: to go or not to go. I didn’t want to watch my son treat his dead father. In my personal opinion, it was a mockery.

– How do you feel about the proposal of Babkina and Safronov to rebury Vyacheslav Mikhailovich?

– As soon as Vyacheslav Mikhailovich died, I went to the city hall – there were no objections to bury Zaitsev with dignity. But Yegor, unfortunately, acted very cruelly towards his father. I sincerely want Vyacheslav Mikhailovich Zaitsev to be buried with dignity. Yesterday my wife and I were at the Novodevichy Cemetery – many of our friends found their last shelter there. We went there and first of all thought that, of course, Vyacheslav Mikhailovich should be buried there.

– They say that before leaving, Vyacheslav Mikhailovich felt very bad. Did you notice it?

– We last met with Vyacheslav Mikhailovich on April 24 (he died on April 30 – author). I held his creative meeting with residents of the Eastern District of Moscow. We have worked out such a format with him over the past five years. Vyacheslav Mikhailovich arrived, but he felt bad. For the last three years, there has been nothing good in his state of health, unfortunately. Therefore, when Oleg (Zaitsev’s assistant – author) called me and said that he was taken to the hospital by ambulance, I immediately had the feeling that this would be the case, as it happened later.
