A multifunctional GTO site has appeared in the Astrakhan village

In the Astrakhan village of Volodarsky, a small sports ground was built as part of the Demography national project. The new facility is a multifunctional site for passing Ready for Labor and Defense (RLD) standards. There are outdoor exercise machines for cardio and strength training, platforms for testing the GTO complex and other equipment.
Local residents can now conduct training in strength gymnastics, prepare for passing GTO standards and engage in general physical training in the fresh air. The site is equipped with multi-level crossbars, horizontal bars, parallel bars, benches for the press, an incline bench, cycling, cardio and strength training equipment, and also has a special sports surface.
Governor of the Astrakhan region Igor Babushkin actively supports the popularization of mass sports and the development of sports infrastructure in the region. He initiated the “Handball to School” project to support the success of athletes, and also organizes football championships among teams of general education organizations. Thanks to these and other measures, 52% of residents of the Astrakhan region are involved in physical education and sports, which allowed the region to take 16th place in the country in this area.
