The nineteenth football tournament among veteran athletes, dedicated to the memory of journalist Vladimir Galaktionov, will take place on October 14-15 at the Lokomotiv stadium in Chita. This was reported in the Transbaikal branch of the Union of Journalists of Russia.
The first such games were held in 2002 by the editorial office of the Chita Sportivnaya newspaper after the death of a famous fellow countryman who wrote on military-patriotic and sports topics.
Eight teams will meet on the field: FC Chita, Lokomotiv (Yasnogorsk), Over 60, Urozhay, Ingoda, Zabaikalskie Klyuchi, Gornyak and Veteran. They will include local famous football players Alexey Tikhonkikh, Evgeniy Kotovsky, Yuriy Sapozhnikov, Alexander Bodyalov and others.
The grand opening of the tournament is October 14 at 10:00.
