In Ust-Labinsk, about 800 residents of the Krasnodar Territory and other regions of Russia took part in the Suvorov Trail race. The Minister of Physical Culture and Sports of the Kuban, Serafim Timchenko, also ran the distance.

As the head of the ministry noted, running is one of the most accessible sports for citizens, and more and more often Kuban municipalities are taking the initiative in organizing sports events and popularizing sports, one of which has become a new mass run.

As noted in the press service of the regional administration, Suvorov Trail is a trail running competition. This sport involves running on natural terrain, both at a pace convenient for runners, and as part of competitions. This type of running has similarities with cross-country running and mountain running, but usually hills, mountains, deserts and woodlands are chosen for trail running, and in cities – embankments, sidewalks and parks.

For the participants, the organizers prepared two distances of different lengths: 10 kilometers, intended for experienced runners and 1794 – for people who do not have sports training.

The name of the race was also chosen not by chance. The event is named after the Ust-Labinsk fortress, founded by order of Alexander Suvorov in 1794. It was she who gave rise to one of the municipalities of the Kuban.
