The man lived in a luxury five-star hotel in India for 603 days without paying for accommodation. He owed the institution about 5 million rupees (70 thousand dollars). According to the rules of the hotel, the guest must be reported to the authorities if he did not pay 50 thousand rupees, that is, one percent of this amount.
The suspect checked in in May 2019 and stayed at the hotel until January 2022, reports ladbible.com. Details of how he managed to remain “unnoticed” are not given, but it is assumed that he resorted to, among other things, colluding with staff and substituting checks.
