A former teacher at a Russian university was convicted of telling fake news about the Armed Forces during lectures.

In Nizhny Novgorod, a court imposed a suspended sentence of 3 years on a former associate professor of the Department of Finance and Legal Regulation of the Financial Market at RANEPA in a case of fakes. This was reported by the regional department of the FSB.
According to law enforcement agencies, the teacher disseminated pro-Ukrainian propaganda during lectures and instilled in students a hostile attitude towards the Russian Federation. Previously, the woman used false information about the country’s Armed Forces.
The defendant was deprived of the right to hold certain positions for a period of 2 years.
Earlier it became known that in the Zaporozhye region a case was opened against a 58-year-old native of Berdyansk for false information.
