A dust storm came to Tuva after forest fires and floods – Kommersant

Strong gusts of wind raised a dust storm in the capital of the Tyva Republic in Kyzyl. According to eyewitnesses, visibility on the streets of the city is minimal in places.
No damage has yet been reported from the dust storm. Yesterday, the Tuva Center for Hydrometeorology and Environmental Monitoring predicted very heavy rains, thunderstorms, hail, as well as an increase in the northwest wind up to 25 m/s for June 14.
According to the press service of the government of Tuva, an emergency regime has been introduced on the lands of the republic’s forest fund due to a sharp increase in the number and area of fires. The same regime operates in the Sut-Kholsky and Bai-Taiginsky districts for a different reason – there, due to the rise in water in the rivers, household plots are flooded, roads are washed out, one of the bridges on the highway connecting Tuva with Khakassia collapsed.
