Dairy plant, northern regions and environmental care: how was another week of gasification in the country

A great event took place in the village of Kaikino, Leningrad Region. The most efficient dairy farm in Russia, located here, was gasified. For all residents of a small village, this is a new milestone. After all, it is difficult to find a family in Kaikino, in which no one would work at the factory, which means that the well-being of the entire village depends on the well-being of production.

“The history of Gomontovo is very old, this year the plant turns 105 years old. At the end of 1999, I was chosen as the general director of the plant, then it was completely destroyed. The milk yield was only 3,000 liters per cow, compared to 14,345 liters last year. We have 4000 – this is the total livestock. In the 2000s, when we actively began to engage in animal husbandry, we realized that we needed to develop our own grain economy. We fully provide for our herd and it remains for sale. We now have more than 2,000 hectares under grain: winter wheat and barley. Grain production is impossible without drying. In 2011, it was decided to build the first dryer, in 2013 – the second. But there was not enough capacity, so in 2021 we built 2 more dryers and a complex of 3 storage rooms. Dryers run on diesel fuel. These were big expenses. We spent 5 million rubles on the purchase of fuel. This year we decided to modernize the drying complex and switch it to gas. This is both savings and convenience, because the dryer can be started at any time,” said Nadezhda Pozdnyakova, General Director of Gomontovo Breeding Plant JSC.

At the same time, good news came from Komi. It was proposed to gasify another 26 settlements. “Additions” to the program for the development of gas supply and gasification were discussed at a meeting of the regional headquarters in the government of the republic on June 6. These settlements are located near the existing gas distribution pipelines, literally 2-4 kilometers away. In addition, at the meeting it was reported that the work on the additional gasification of settlements is ahead of schedule.

In Novokuznetsk, the first households were connected to the gas supply as part of the additional gasification. In total, more than 440 households in the Kuznetsk district will be able to connect to gas networks. To date, contracts have been signed to connect 248 households. In the opinion of residents, switching to network gas is an opportunity not only to improve living conditions, but also to reduce the ecological burden on the environment.

In addition, the construction of a gas pipeline for the gasification of the village of Lugovoi in the Volgograd Region has started. The length of the networks will be 6 kilometers. After the gas pipelines are put into operation, conditions will be created for the gasification of 140 households, a school, a village club and a medical and obstetric station. Also in the village, construction of intra-settlement networks with a length of 7 kilometers is underway.
