The State Duma of Russia has prepared a bill that involves the abolition of the deferment from conscription for military service for the mobilization of senators of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation and the State Duma. Sergei Mironov, the head of A Just Russia – For Truth, wrote about this in his Telegram channel.
He stressed that the deferment should be granted to parliamentarians without any concessions, on a general basis.
In addition, Mironov noted that the draft law implies the conscription, within the framework of partial mobilization, primarily of employees of the Russian Guard, the Foreign Intelligence Service, the FSB, the military prosecutor’s office and employees of the Investigative Committee, as well as military units of the fire service and rescue military units.
The law also proposes to call in the first place citizens who were dismissed from military service and enrolled in the reserve.
