A court in St. Petersburg ordered moral damages and a fine from the air carrier after a dog in the luggage compartment killed a cat. This was reported by the joint press service of the city courts.
A Jagdterrier dog weighing 10 kilograms broke a carrier in the luggage compartment, where there were also two cats of the man who submitted the application. Another cat was on the plane with him.
The dog was reportedly transported without a muzzle, cage or appropriate safety nets, the plaintiff stated.
The plaintiff accused the carrier of neglect and negligence and asked to recover material damage in the amount of 667.5 thousand rubles, moral damage in the amount of 800 thousand rubles, legal costs and insurance.
