The Nagatinsky Court of Moscow decided not to evict the former investigator for especially important cases, Sergei Novikov, from his office apartment. The publication reports this “Kommersant”.
According to media reports, the Investigative Committee of Russia filed a lawsuit in which it demanded that the 44-year-old Major General of Justice vacate his living space after the investigator retired due to his years of service.
During the trial, it turned out that the family of the ex-employee of the department was not provided with the required one-time social payment or an apartment instead of official housing. Moreover, Novikov was added to the queue almost 15 years ago. He received a service apartment in 2014.
In a conversation with the publication, the ex-investigator for especially important cases stated that from the explanations of representatives of the Investigative Committee, who demanded his eviction, it became known that there were two queues, and he “stood in the wrong one.”
The Investigative Committee refused to comment on the situation.
