A court in Moscow arrested three former ICR investigators

The Basmanny Court of Moscow on Friday, November 10, chose a preventive measure in the form of arrest against three former investigators of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation. This was reported in the press service of the court.

Rustam Yusupov, Sergei Romodanovsky and Andrei Zhiryutin will remain in custody until January 10, 2024 on charges of organizing a criminal community.

The ex-investigators are also charged with accepting a bribe, falsifying evidence, illegally detaining or imprisoning someone, bringing a knowingly innocent person to criminal liability, or illegally initiating a criminal case.

In April 2022, Russian leader Vladimir Putin signed a decree according to which the state anti-corruption information system “Poseidon” was created in the country. From now on, it is up to the Russian authorities to fight corrupt officials new technologies will help.

Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation Igor Krasnov said that in 2022, much attention was paid to anti-corruption work in Russia. More than 7,500 objects of property of corrupt officials with a total value of over 90 billion rubles.
