A book about Cherenkov for Spartak fans

The legend of Russian football, the idol of millions, the famous footballer of the Moscow “Spartak” Fyodor Cherenkov will forever be in our hearts.

And no matter how many books are written about a truly national football player, no matter how many films are made, no matter how many tournaments and events are organized in his honor, there will always be little. Because the glory of Fedor Cherenkov knows no bounds.

The next meeting with admirers of the talent of the unsurpassed Spartak took place at the Volkovskaya Brewery near the Botanichesky Sad metro station. The evening was devoted to the release of the book by Alexander Belyaev (classmate and friend of the unsurpassed master of the leather ball) “Fyodor Cherenkov, as you did not know him.” In his work, he tried to show the legendary Spartacus in a way that we didn’t know him for sure, because these are personal memories of the glorious virtuoso of the game of millions.

The main bonus of the event, in addition to the book signed by the author, is a postcard autographed by the outstanding football player Yuri Gavrilov, Cherenkov’s partner in Beskov’s Spartak. A copy of the publication (28 pages) for Spartak fans was also signed by Albert Ermakov, one of the oldest red-and-white fans.

The presentation of the book about Fedor Fedorovich was attended by Gennady Vasilievich Efanov – Deputy Chairman of the Committee of Football Veterans of the RFU, Albert Georgievich Ermakov, Alexei Chernikov, Alexei Dmitriev, Alexander Belyaev – the author of the book, Pavel Semenov, Sergey Izotov – a fan since 1969, Lev Evteev – is a fan of ” Spartak” since 1979, Alexander Zhandarov has been a red-and-white fan since 1983, and many others.

“I have great respect for Fedor Cherenkov, not only as a football player, but also as a person. For me, this is an ideal, a very modest person and an excellent football player. It is a pity that he was not lucky with his health … Fedor was a unique footballer. I remember his debut, how he started at Spartak, the first game, in my opinion, was in Yerevan. Then they played with the “horses” (CSKA footballers. – Note. author), won 4:1 and he scored a goal. Such a boy came out – frail, nondescript, but how he drove “horses”. He had a fantastic game idea. Fedor is a legend of Spartak, – Sergei Izotov commented emotionally, but succinctly, on the time of Fedor Cherenkov.

More than fifty people took part in the event, all received books “Fyodor Cherenkov as you did not know him”. Unfortunately, the leadership of Spartak and the veterans of the club again ignored (for the umpteenth time) the event dedicated to Fedor Cherenkov. Recently, only reproaches have been heard from Spartak – to the same Mikhail Kizilov and Alexander Belyaev – people who write books about the red-and-white club and its players and hold Fyodor Cherenkov’s tournaments. Somehow this is not comme il faut at all. Perhaps it would still be more correct to come to such tournaments and events, to send students from the academy named after Fyodor Cherenkov and veterans of the “people’s” team. It is better to do good deeds together for the glory of the club and its students.

The evening passed in a calm, friendly atmosphere. The guests recalled Fedor Cherenkov, talked with the author of the book, watched a film about a true Spartak player, his best goals and a farewell match. The guests were offered branded drinks of Volkovskaya Brewery.

“Fyodor is a man-spark that has not gone out so far,” said Pavel Semenov, the main words of the evening.

There is no need to discuss where the events take place, who holds them, how it happens. It is simply necessary to remember the Master and make such evenings for the glory of Fyodor Cherenkov.
