A bill to shorten the working week by an hour was introduced to the State Duma

Introduced to the State Duma of Russia bill, implying a reduction in the working week by one hour – from 40 to 39 hours. The author of the law is Senator from the Ulyanovsk region Airat Gibatdinov.
“Make the following changes to the Labor Code of the Russian Federation: restate part one of Article 95 as follows: “The length of the working day or shift immediately preceding a day off or a non-working holiday is reduced by one hour,” the text of the document says.
In an explanatory note, Gibatdinov explains that recently the working conditions of employees have greatly increased the pressure on their mental and moral state. According to the parliamentarian, this negatively affects the citizen’s productivity.
