A 48-year-old Estonian citizen started an affair with his grandfather’s 103-year-old widow

A 48-year-old Estonian citizen announced an affair with a 103-year-old non-blood relative, Elfrida Riit. According to the publication Daily Mailthe woman is the widow of his grandfather, whose second wife she was.

According to the publication, Mart Soeson has been in a relationship with his lover since 2013. According to him, the age difference of more than half a century does not bother any of them. However, in 2022, the woman was forced to move to a nursing home.

“What started out as a healthy connection I had with my late grandfather’s widow slowly but surely turned into a very meaningful and loving relationship,” the publication quotes the Estonian as saying.

It is stated that Soesung is trying to obtain permanent residency in Australia as Riit is his partner. The competent authorities refused him this, but did not tell him the reason. According to the man, they might not believe in the sincerity of the relationship between the 48-year-old man and the 103rd woman.

It is reported that Soesong filed an appeal to the Administrative Appeals Tribunal, which he visited with his lover and three supporters, so that they would accept the case for consideration. It is clarified that the hearing did not take place.

The man talked about meeting Elfriede Riit. He said they met in 1996 when he came to Australia to study advanced English. The woman knew Martha as the grandson of her late husband Alfred. She invited him to stay at her home in Sydney.

Over time, he said, “their connection grew stronger.” He eventually returned to Estonia, but came to Australia in 2000 and 2007 to visit Riit. By then, he said, he “really missed” her. In subsequent years he continued to visit Sydney on his holidays, and on the last of these the couple realized that “their feelings for each other had deepened and gone beyond friendship.”

The woman herself admitted similar feelings, the publication writes. According to her, she realized her love for March by January 2013.

Despite the difficulties in obtaining a residence permit, Soesung said that the couple does not plan to get married as Riit is not interested in another wedding.
