Residents of border regions who lost their homes due to shelling will be able to receive land for free. This was reported by TASS and RIA Novosti with reference to the relevant government decree.

Previously, legislation stipulated that preferential categories of citizens could receive a free plot of land only once. The list of these categories is determined by regional authorities. The government explained that changing the support mechanism “will allow us to avoid a legal conflict.”

“Citizens whose residential premises, owned by them or provided to them under a lease agreement, have been lost or declared unfit for habitation as a result of shelling by armed formations of Ukraine and (or) terrorist acts, may… be provided with free land ownership plots that are in state or municipal ownership,” the resolution says.

On January 29, it became known that small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in border areas and Crimea will receive at least 20 billion rubles in the first half of 2024. under a special limit of “umbrella” guarantees (they cover up to 50% of the bank loan amount). Representatives of SMEs in the Belgorod, Bryansk, Voronezh, Kursk and Rostov regions, as well as in Crimea and Sevastopol, will be able to take advantage of this.
