640 Belgorod children will be placed in the Astrakhan and Samara regions

The governor of the Belgorod region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, announced that on March 24, 150 children from the region will go to the Astrakhan region, another 540 to the Samara region. The children will be transported at the invitation of the heads of regions, Mr. Gladkov clarified. The authorities of the Vologda region also offered assistance in placing children.

“We are negotiating with the governors to accept our children for 3 weeks. If the situation does not change for the better, we will offer parents and ask the leaders of the regions who sheltered our children to leave them until the end of the school year,” Mr. Gladkov wrote in Telegram channel.

Vyacheslav Gladkov also spoke about the completion of the first stage of issuing assistance to small and medium-sized businesses in the Shebekinsky district affected by shelling. Of the 700 million rubles allocated for these purposes, 113 million rubles were paid to 64 entrepreneurs. On March 25, the collection of documents for the second stage will begin.

Over the past month, shelling of the border Belgorod region has become more frequent, as have attempts to break through the border by saboteurs. According to Vyacheslav Gladkov, over two weeks, 152 people were injured due to shelling, including 11 children. In this regard, March 20 was decided remove 9 thousand children from Belgorod, Belgorod district, Shebekinsky and Grayvoronsky districts.
