Zyuganov called on Russians for unity at the May Day rally

Chairman of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (KPRF) Gennady Zyuganov at a rally in honor of the Day of Spring and Labor called on Russians for unity and solidarity and said that the main force is a working man and a patriot who defended his country.

The party leader said that after the victory in October 1917, the Soviet government “did everything to make May Day the main international holiday.”

“For the first time in the history of mankind, Lenin and his government announced an eight-hour working day, a decree on peace and land, and did everything so that the common man had a full social package of guarantees,” Zyuganov said, adding that the solidarity of workers allowed the country to create the best factories in the world. science and education, “defeat the fascist hordes, create nuclear-missile parity and become the leading power in the world.” After the victory in 1945, it seemed that “fascism was over, but the Anglo-Saxons did not agree,” the politician said.

“They dragged Nazi methods, Bandera and other bastards under their banners and managed to establish their Nazi power in Ukraine by declaring war on the Russian world. I believe that in the current situation, without unity, mutual support, solidarity of all progressive forces, it will be impossible to defeat these neo-liberal fascist hordes,” Zyuganov said.
