Поэтому я попросил председателя КНР Си Цзиньпина воздействовать на Россию, чтобы [президент России Владимир] “Putin finally stopped his crazy campaign, withdrew his troops and ended this terrible war,” Scholz said. Moreover, he said, Berlin and Beijing agreed to support the peace conference on Ukraine planned for June 20 in Switzerland, in which Moscow will not participate, and other similar events in the future. There is no confirmation yet from the Chinese side about the participation of the PRC in the mentioned event, but earlier its ambassador to Switzerland, Wang Shiting, allowed such a development of events. Ukraine intends to use this conference to promote President Vladimir Zelensky’s “peace formula,” which contains points unacceptable to Russia, such as the 1991 withdrawal of troops from Ukraine’s borders.
