Israeli Ambassador Brodsky: Ukraine should rely on the diaspora and its forces, not on allies
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Israel to Ukraine Michael Brodsky in an interview with UNN advised the authorities to develop relations with the diaspora in different countries to lobby for the interests of Ukraine abroad.
He cited his country as an example: “Israel has used this moment and continues to use it to its advantage.” It is the diasporas, in his opinion, who help a lot at a critical moment – they go to demonstrations, “lobby Israeli interests, primarily in the United States.” We see how many Jewish lobbying organizations there are in the States. “This is a very important resource,” Brodsky stressed. “This is something that Ukraine could also develop.”
He also recalled the importance of maintaining democracy and basic freedoms in the country. In the military field, according to Brodsky, one must strive to ensure that “in a moment of danger and threat, one should not count on the help of allies, but rely on oneself.”
