The founder of PMC “Wagner” Yevgeny Prigozhin announced his trip to the city of Soledar. His press service published a video in which he, against the backdrop of destroyed buildings, addresses Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and General Alexander Syrsky.
“Vladimir Sanych, dear. My congratulations to General Syrsky on May 1, too,” says Prigogine in the video.
Then he points to the ruins of buildings behind him and declares that he considers a video recording in Soledar to be a good way to congratulate workers on Solidarity Day: “Behind us is the Knauf Soledar plant. Against the background of which it is best to say “Peace! Work! May!”
Further, the published video shows a different location – a damaged industrial building, Prigozhin is standing next to a man in khaki clothes. He explains that he came to Soledar not only to congratulate on May Day, but there is a second reason.
“This is the birthday of PMC Wagner. The birthday of our company,” Prigozhin said. “And the third is the birthday of Lotus, which Soledar took.”
