The game was also appreciated by defender Ziyat Paygin. His puck was the first in the match.

– I don’t know, we just acted according to the game and helped the attackers. It turned out so great that they scored and helped the team win.

– How nervous was the match today and how important was it to score first?

– It was necessary to win first of all. Because in the first meeting there was an insulting defeat, but today we managed. Tomorrow we are going to continue the series. We will try to win there.

– It was noticeable that you communicate a lot on the bench with coach Alexander Svitov. He is a former center forward, you are a defender. What do you mainly talk about?

– Yes, it’s always different. He also suggests how to play correctly in a given situation, although we listen to the entire coaching staff as a whole. Thanks a lot to all of them.

– Avangard had 6 penalties today and most of them were, to put it mildly, optional. What was the reason?

– Rather because of the great desire. Probably, emotions take over and sometimes you want to play for the team, hit somewhere – and this is superfluous. In any case, the opponent provokes us. So we will try not to violate so much and often in the next games.

– Just in the minority, how hard was it for the team?

– I don’t play these segments myself, I can’t share my personal impression. The guys who go out in it will say better. But we try to support them, they catch the pucks on themselves, help the goalkeeper, so they are great fellows. They make a difference.
