The item of clothing will be returned to the owner – a resident of the Moscow region

Today an auction was held in St. Petersburg, at which lot No. 179 was put up – a jacket by Vladimir Volfovich Zhirinovsky. The item came complete with a cover letter on the letterhead of a State Duma deputy, personally signed by Vladimir Zhirinovsky.

The preliminary estimated price of the lot was set by the auction staff at 200-250 thousand rubles.

But no one needed the jacket.

– The jacket is not sold. No one submitted proposals at the starting price of 200,000 rubles,” Natalya Sashko, an employee of the Russian Stock House, told MK. “Our experts proposed the starting price.” When setting prices, they are guided, among other things, by the cost of similar lots at other auctions.

The history of the lot is unusual: once, on the eve of the new year 2021, Vladimir Zhirinovsky promised on television to give a jacket from his wardrobe to a viewer who wrote an appeal addressed to him. The presentation of the gift to Sergei, a resident of the Moscow region, took place on March 26, 2021, which was recorded in a television story. The gift was accompanied by a letter from the politician with good wishes and congratulations on the New Year.

The jacket from the shoulder of Vladimir Volfovich Zhirinovsky will be returned to its owner.
