Students from Zenit-Championika children’s schools held a training session together with the St. Petersburg team at the Gazprom Arena. 16 of the best students of the youth project from different regions of Russia took part in preparing the blue-white-blue for the match with Paris NN.
Young talents from Ryazan, Saratov, Chelyabinsk, Novosibirsk and other cities of Russia, as well as Kazakhstan, warmed up under the supervision of coach Alexander Kurlovich. After this, the guys, led by Sergei Semak, played a two-way match with the participation of Ivan Sergeev, Alexander Erokhin, Alexey Sutormin, Alexander Kovalenko, Dmitry Chistyakov, Nuraly Alip and Anatoly Timoshchuk.
After the training, the young athletes were given a tour of the Gazprom Arena. The guys took pictures with Zenit players and coaches. Based on the results of the training day, three of the best students from Zenit-Championika schools received the opportunity to undergo an internship at the Gazprom Academy. Training will take place over seven days with the U-11 team.
A press conference was also held at the stadium, during which cooperation between Zenit and Championika was discussed. A new partnership agreement was signed until 2027. Participating in the celebrations were Semak, the head of the board of the St. Petersburg club Alexander Medvedev, the general director of Championika Andrei Kravchenko, as well as the franchisee and coach of the project Dmitry Stepanov.
“One of the most important indicators of our joint work is the number of children who are involved in training – 4,000 students, think about this figure. The guys have found something interesting to do and are happy to come to our branches.”– said Medvedev.
As Medvedev noted, it is very important that the guys train according to a single standard. The club’s main contribution to the youth project is not in the name of the brand, but in a unified professional approach to the training process, noted the chairman of the board of Zenit.
The new agreement between Zenit and Championika will be valid until August 2027. The agreement provides for the expansion of the network of joint schools to 500, the presence of at least one branch in each region of Russia, and the opening of branches in the CIS countries. To develop the network, it is planned to attract more than 170 new partners to cooperation.
