Zenit beat Spartak in the eighth round of the RPL

Petersburg football club “Zenit” defeated Moscow “Spartak” with a score of 2:1 in the eighth round match of the World – Russian Premier League (RPL). The meeting took place at the Moscow stadium “Otkritie Bank – Arena”.

Zenit is leading the RPL standings with 20 points in eight matches. Spartak finished fifth with 16 points in eight games.

In the next round, Spartak will meet in an away match with Rostov on September 11, and Zenit will host Orenburg on the same day.
