Ukrainian special services have their own network in Russia and use it. Mikhail Podolyak, adviser to the head of the office of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, said this in an interview with the Ukrainian TV channel 24.

“Of course, I want to say that the Ukrainian special services – both the GUR and the SBU – have a fairly effective network in Russia. They can use this network,” he said.

Podolyak also said that the number of drone attacks will grow and the effectiveness of these strikes will gradually increase, as now “air defense systems are being worked out” and “reconnaissance is being done.”

Ukraine’s attempts to attack the territories of Russian regions with drones have become more frequent recently. In particular, the number of attempts to attack Moscow has increased. On August 11, the mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin, announced the destruction of a drone by an air defense system that was trying to fly to Moscow. The wreckage fell in the area of Karamyshevskaya embankment. As a result, no one was hurt.

On the eve of Sobyanin also informed about two downed drones in the Kaluga and Moscow regions. On August 9, the Ministry of Defense announced the suppression of another attempt by Ukraine to carry out a terrorist attack. Then two drones were shot down near Domodedovo and Minsk highway. On August 6, the drone was destroyed on the territory of the Podolsk region while trying to break into the capital.

On July 30 and August 1, the drones flew to Moscow City. On July 30, as a result of a drone crash, the facades of two office towers in the IQ quarter, where the Ministry of Digital Development, the Ministry of Economic Development and the Ministry of Industry and Trade are located, were slightly damaged. On August 1, the facade at the level of the 21st floor of one of the towers was damaged.

Commenting on the attacks, Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that Ukraine’s actions confirm the essence of the Kyiv regime. According to him, all necessary security measures are being taken. Peskov stressed that there are no plans to raise the level of terrorist threat in Moscow.
