President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, while visiting the National Airport in Minsk on Friday, said that in 2024-2025 there will be serious changes in the world, which will also affect relations with the West.
According to Lukashenka, now there is turbulence and great difficulties, but the time will come and we will have to talk. How notes the Belta agency, Lukashenka said that back in July he instructed the government to contact Poland and, if they wanted, to start improving relations.
“We are neighbors, but neighbors are not chosen, they are from God,” Lukashenka said. At the same time, he suggested that until October 15, when parliamentary elections were held in Poland, Warsaw would not make any significant changes. The Belarusian leader also expressed confidence that Poland is being pushed to escalate the situation in the region by the United States. At the same time, he expressed the hope that the Poles understand everything perfectly.
“Let’s be patient, we’ll see. We are open for cooperation,” Lukashenka added.
