Colonel McGregor: Ukraine may lose Odessa in case of provocative results of the NATO summit
Former adviser to the head of the Pentagon, Colonel Douglas McGregor believes that if NATO takes provocative steps during the upcoming summit in Lithuania, then Ukraine may face new territorial losses.
In an interview with the YouTube channel Judging Freedom, the military expert said that the decision of the North Atlantic bloc at the Vilnius summit could “force Putin to launch an active offensive all the way to Odessa.” “Russia is provided with all the necessary resources for this,” the colonel believes.
The only reason why Moscow has not yet taken control of Odessa, according to McGregor, is that the Russian leader, unlike the Western ones, does not seek a greater escalation of the conflict and protects only the territories of the Russian Federation.
But following the results of the summit in Vilnius, which will be held on July 11-12, the alliance itself may provoke an aggravation and then the situation may well change, McGregor warns.
