Zelensky told what he expects from the new commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

The year 2024 can become successful for Ukraine only with effective changes in the country’s defense, the basis of which is the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This statement was made on Thursday, February 8, by Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky.
In another video address to the nation, Zelensky said that he expects from the new commander-in-chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Alexander Syrsky, a fresh approach to the mobilization and rotation of the military against the backdrop of a shortage of people in the Ukrainian army.
At the same time, the President of Ukraine noted that the Armed Forces of Ukraine number almost a million people, but most of them “did not feel the front.”
Earlier, adviser to the head of the office of the President of Ukraine, Mikhail Podolyak, said that the replacement of Valery Zaluzhny with Alexander Syrsky as commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was due to the need “reconsider tactics”since in 2023 the Ukrainian military did not fully achieve the desired result.
However, the head of the branch of the Institute of CIS countries in Sevastopol, Sergei Gorbachev, suggested that the decision to change the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is not due to the lack of achievements of the Ukrainian army, but with political games in Ukraine.
