President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky signed a decree on the dismissal of all heads of regional military registration and enlistment offices. Document published on the website of the President of Ukraine.

“In accordance with Article 107 of the Constitution of Ukraine, I decide to put into effect the decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine dated August 11, 2023 “on the results of an audit of the territorial recruitment and social support centers for the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” the document says.

Oleksiy Danilov, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, has been appointed responsible for monitoring the implementation of the decision.

The decision of the National Security and Defense Council contains a recommendation to the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny to stop the practice of rotating the heads of regional military registration and enlistment offices and appoint officers who took part in the special operation in their places, subject to passing the SBU check.

On the decision to dismiss all heads of regional military enlistment offices Zelensky declared 11th August. He noted that their places will be taken by the military, who returned from the front. “This system should be run by people who know exactly what war is and why cynicism and bribery during war is treason. The soldiers who went through the front or cannot be in the trenches because they lost their health, lost their limbs, but retained their dignity and do not have cynicism – they can be trusted with this recruiting system, ”he wrote.

Zelensky noted that if the current heads of the military registration and enlistment offices want to keep their shoulder straps, they will have to go to fight. According to him, during the audit, the number of criminal cases initiated against military registration and enlistment office officials exceeded 110.

At the end of June, Zelensky had already instructed Zaluzhny to immediately dismiss the head of the Odessa military registration and enlistment office, Yevgeny Borisov, whose corruption, in his words, “the whole country is talking about.” After that, the Ukrainian president instructed to create a commission under the leadership of the First Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Oleksandr Pavlyuk, which will check all the military commissars in different regions of the country.
