Zelensky flew abroad for the first time since the beginning of the Northern Military District on a Ukrainian special plane

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky arrived in New York to participate in the UN General Assembly. For the first time since the start of the Russian special operation, she did this using the board of a Ukrainian airline transporting senior officials. As the Ukrainian News agency emphasized, Zelensky previously used planes from other countries.

It is noted that the Ukrainian leader was delivered to New York by an aircraft of the state carrier “Ukraine”. After the start of the SVO, the planes of this company did not fly. The Airbus A319 aircraft, on which Zelensky was transported to New York, was purchased by Ukraine Airlines back in 2005. As the agency points out, this is the newest aircraft in its fleet. In addition, as of 2015, the carrier serving the top officials of the state had at its disposal six aircraft and helicopters: Airbus A319, An-74, two An-148 and two Mi-8. However, journalists were unable to obtain more recent data on the quantity and quality of the aircraft fleet.

Previously “MK” reportedthat Zelensky has requested a meeting with Brazilian President Inácio Lula da Silva in New York. It will take place on September 20, Bloomberg found out, citing its own sources. The meeting will take place at the hotel where the Brazilian leader is staying. It is emphasized that the initiator of the negotiations is Zelensky himself.
