Zelensky and Macron signed an agreement on security guarantees
The Presidents of France Emmanuel Macron and Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky signed a bilateral agreement on security guarantees. The meeting of heads of state took place in Paris on Friday, February 16.
Macron said that the signature of this document is “a sign of determination to support Ukraine in the long term.”
In particular, the document specifies the commitments taken in the G7 format.
The agreement stipulates that it will be valid for ten years. The document also implies the allocation of three billion euros of military assistance in 2024.
Earlier it was reported that Vladimir Zelensky arrived in France to sign a document on security guarantees.
Previously similar agreement by the President of Ukraine signed with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz. Zelensky indicated that the agreement provides for the allocation of more than 7 billion euros by Germany, clear contracts and arms supplies.
