Young Novgorod karatekas won prizes at competitions in Tver

Young Novgorod athletes won prizes at the all-Russian karate competition “Tver Challenge”. The Ministry of Sports of the Novgorod Region spoke about this.

More than 730 athletes from 24 regions of Russia took part in the competitions, which took place in Tver at the Sultan Akhmerov Sports and Sports Complex. The Novgorod region team included nine people, students of the FENIX Team club.

Following the results of the competition in the 10-11 year old group, Ksenia Obukhova won a gold medal in the 32 kg weight category. Kirill Vorobyov and Nikita Mukhin took second place in their age groups and weight categories. Alina Kurlis in the 12-13 year old group climbed to the third step of the podium. It is reported that Nikita Mukhin has fulfilled the requirements for 1 Dan – black belt.

Previously “MK in Veliky Novgorod” reportedthat the Novgorod team won gold at the Northwestern Federal District tournament in all-style karate.
