And they returned home with a silver cup and a full set of awards.

Football players from the Kirov sports school “Dynamo” (coach – Alexander Zakhlestin) won second place in the 2011 all-Russian boys’ tournament Saransk Cup, which ended the other day in the capital of Mordovia. At the group stage, the Kirov team beat their peers from Orenburg and Samara, and the teams “Center Gradilenko” and “Impulse” from the city of Tolyatti advanced to the playoffs.

In the final, the Kirov residents met with the hosts of the site, the Mordovia-2011 club, and lost with a score of 0:3. At the same time, the game went on smoothly until the 44th minute, when the referee awarded an unobvious penalty to the Dynamo goal (after accidentally touching the ball with his hand).

The young Kirov residents were not left without individual awards: midfielder Maxim Semakin and forward Yan Timshin were included in the symbolic team of the tournament, and Arseniy Sykchin was recognized as the best player of the team.
