You can now pause comments on YouTube – Kommersant

YouTube video service released An update that allows users to temporarily pause posting comments on their videos. The company believes that this will give bloggers more control over content and allow them to take their minds off moderating comments.
Before the change, YouTube users could either save comments and then manually check them before publishing, or close the comments section. It was also possible to automatically publish incoming comments. In the update, some features have been renamed: there are no longer options such as “Increase severity” and “Leave potentially inappropriate comments for review.” The following options are now available: “Enable”, “Disable” and “Pause”. The “Enable” option has moderation levels: “None” (where all incoming comments are published), “Basic” (relevant comments only), and “Keep All” (manual moderation of all comments).
YouTube previously started test a new feature thanks to which users will be able to monitor the update of views and likes counters in real time. Also on the platform started add a “For You” section to channel pages, in which videos recommended to the user will be shown. The function will work based on viewing history, and is similar to TikTok mechanisms.
