“You can do it”: Vladimir Putin accepted the annual report of the head of Aeroflot

On Friday, December 29, the Russian leader held a working meeting with the airline’s CEO Sergei Alexandrovsky. Aeroflot’s top manager summed up the company’s performance in 2023 and also announced plans for the future.

Aleksandrovsky noted that based on the results of the year, the company will significantly increase the total indicator of passenger transportation: “In total, the Aeroflot group will transport 47 million passengers in 2023, this is 15% more than the results of the previous year.”

Also, in a conversation with the president, the carrier’s general director proposed extending the well-proven “flat” tariff program until 2024. Vladimir Putin supported the initiative. The company’s press service recalled that the “flat fare” system represents fixed prices for economy class flights from Moscow to the Far East and Kaliningrad. Tariffs also apply during periods of high demand: holidays, vacations and vacation seasons.

During the report, Sergei Alexandrovsky announced 98 re-registered Boeing and Airbus aircraft by the end of 2023. All these aircraft will be transferred to the ownership of a Russian legal entity, which will have a positive impact on international passenger traffic, the head of the company noted.

During the meeting, the president praised Sergei Alexandrovsky for the carrier’s fruitful and effective work. The Russian leader noted the satisfaction of passengers who use the airline’s services and asked the top manager not to slow down. “In general, you succeed. Aeroflot has very good reviews. And we must definitely maintain this level,” summed up the President of the Russian Federation.
