Yandex became the leader in the segment in terms of the number of gadgets sold

Against the backdrop of foreign vendors leaving the Russian market in 2022, Yandex almost doubled sales of consumer electronics and became the leader in the segment for the first time. The market share occupied by the company amounted to 13.2% in pieces, in total 2.5 million devices were sold for 20.1 billion rubles, Anton Fomin, a business analyst at F + tech Marvel, told Vedomosti. In 2021, when the company sold 1.4 million gadgets worth 9.8 billion rubles, the share was 7.3%, the expert noted. The total volume of the consumer electronics segment in 2022 amounted to 283.3 billion rubles.

To the consumer electronics segment “F+ tech| Marvel includes 15 categories of products, including TVs, set-top boxes, home audio systems, Bluetooth speakers, game consoles, digital cameras, camcorders, drones, car multimedia systems, and so on. According to the company’s data, Yandex managed to take a dominant share in the segment, although its products are presented in only three categories: home audio systems, TVs and car navigation.
