Yamal volleyball players won the bronze of the international sports games “Children of Asia”

Georgy Sklyuev, Nikita Buryachok, Makar Krivitsky and Artem Oskin from Gubkinsky successfully performed as part of the Ural snow volleyball team at the Children of Asia International Winter Sports Games. The northerners took third place, the press service of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug reported on March 2.
At the event, the Yamal team reached the semi-finals and beat rivals from the Siberian Federal District in the fight for bronze.
The guys train at the Arktika sports school under the guidance of Oleg Khomutsky and Viktor Krivitsky.
Sports games “Children of Asia” are held from February 23 to March 5 in Kuzbass. In addition to snow volleyball, participants compete in other sports. These are alpine skiing, ski jumping, cross-country skiing, e-sports, freestyle, speed skating, curling, snowboarding, figure skating and hockey.
Earlier in Omsk, the All-Russian kettlebell lifting competition “Memorial to the memory of Bekzada Smagulov, Nikolai Shatov and Ivan Martynevich” was held. At the event, Yamal residents conquered seven gold and five bronze medals.
