Salekhard swimmer Maxim Shulgin set a regional record – he won 100 gold medals. This was reported on October 12 by the Department of Physical Education and Sports of the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug.
“The athlete became a hundred-time winner of the Yamal swimming championship. This is the highest result among Yamal swimmers,” said the relevant department.
At the competitions in Nadym, Maxim Shulgin won 19 gold medals and became the first in the history of Yamal sports to reach the highest step of the podium more than a hundred times.
The champion began swimming at the age of eight, and coaches Emilia and Artem Zabrodin help him conquer the sports Olympus.
