Xiaomi has announced its first car – the SU7 model. His images were published by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China, the portal reported CarNewsChina.
The Xiaomi SU7 sedan debuts in several versions, differing in power, number of electric motors, type of drive and battery. The base version will be a 300-horsepower, rear-wheel drive, rear-engine version. The flagship modification will receive a 675-horsepower twin-engine power plant and all-wheel drive.
The electric motor supplier will be United Automotive Electronics. Batteries for the new Xiaomi product will be supplied by BYD (lithium iron phosphate battery for basic versions) and CATL (lithium nickel manganese cobalt battery for top versions). Battery capacity and power reserve are not named.
The equipment of Xiaomi SU7 will include active aerodynamics, an unmanned driving system, a facial recognition system for access to the interior, a digital instrument panel, multimedia on the proprietary HyperOS operating system with the possibility of expanded integration with smartphones.
The electric car will be produced at the Beijing Automotive Industry Holding (BAIC) plant. The premiere of Xiaomi SU7 is expected before the end of 2023.
