WWII veteran Konstantin Kanaki died in Greece

The Russian Embassy in Athens reported in its official Telegram channel that a veteran of the Great Patriotic War, a participant in the defense of Sevastopol, Konstantin Kanaki, died in Greece.
The diplomatic department clarified that Kanaki was just a few days short of his 100th birthday. He was born on September 29, 1023. In September 1941 he was called up for military service. Participated in the defense of the hero city of Sevastopol until March 1942.
“We deeply sympathize with the family and friends of the outstanding person,” the Russian Embassy noted.
