35-year-old Canadian Joanna Chiu complained that Westjet airline employees kicked her out of the cabin before her flight. The woman was planning to fly to her native Vancouver, but after landing she had a stomach ache. She had to go to the toilet several times and told the crew about her problem. Then the airline staff decided to drop her off.
“In cases where a guest is deemed unfit to travel due to illness, our crew has to make difficult decisions. The safety of all passengers and crew is our top priority,” Now Toronto reported in a statement from the airline.
The woman said that she took medication before the flight and was about to feel better. When she was dropped off, in the chaos she forgot her money on the plane. Chiu had to pay for his own airport hotel. However, the company agreed to fly her the next day on a different plane for free.
