Witnesses are being interrogated in Blagoveshchensk court in the case of the ex-head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Amur Region

The interrogation of witnesses in a criminal case against high-ranking policemen of the Amur region is being conducted in the Blagoveshchensk court, a court representative informs.
As noted, the case concerns the ex-head of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Amur Region, Nikolai Aksenov, and the former head of the rear of the same department, Mikhail Robkanov, who were charged with abuse of power.
According to the representative of the court, there is an interrogation of witnesses, mainly related to the construction. There are about 90 of them. The press secretary of the court, Alexander Voronin, specified that it is very difficult to determine how long the process will take, since so many factors affect it.
The case has been pending for more than a year, since September 2021. The next meeting will be held on Thursday.
According to the investigation, in 2013-2015, during the execution of a state contract for the reconstruction of the building of the district police department, Aksenov and Robkanov signed documents on acceptance and payment for work not completed in fact worth 39 million rubles.
