Winter sports festival “KareliaSkiFest 7.0” finished in Petrozavodsk

The winter sports festival “KareliaSkiFest” took place in Karelia for the seventh time. Within 10 days, 17 events were held, which brought together 1,500 participants from 200 cities of Russia, the Ministry of Education and Sports of the Republic reports. These included the Dynamo winter family holiday, extreme skiing, night racing, sledding competitions and much more.
The extreme ski marathon is a special part of the festival. Participants overcome 70 kilometers from Kizhi to Petrozavodsk on the ice of Lake Onega. This year, out of 50 participants who entered the start, only 18 finished.
