All-Russian children’s football tournament starts in Stavropol on March 26

The 22nd All-Russian Children’s Football Tournament in memory of the Hero of Russia Vladislav Duhin starts on March 26 in Stavropol, the press service of the city administration reported.
60 teams from 11 regions of Russia will compete for prizes of memorable matches in five age groups. Last year, 8 teams from Stavropol were among the winners of the football tournament.
Stavropol resident Vladislav Duhin died to save his comrades. In 2000, the famous 6th company of the Pskov airborne division entered into an unequal battle with the numerically superior forces of militants in Chechnya. On the Alley of Honorary Citizens there is a pylon of the Hero of Russia with a bas-relief for a heroic deed.
