Windows in 124 apartments shattered in Belgorod Shebekino in two days due to shelling

In the border town of Shebekino in the Belgorod region, windows in 124 apartments have been damaged due to shelling over the past two days. How informed Vyacheslav Gladkov, Governor, on his Telegram channel, the restoration of window structures will begin in the second half of this week.

Shebekino is subjected to daily shelling. On the night of today, May 9, a projectile fell between two apartment buildings. There were no casualties in this incident, but on May 8, in two shellings, minor injuries got five people, three of whom were hospitalized.

According to Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov, a door-to-door tour of houses affected by shelling showed that 290 windows and 37 glazing of balconies were damaged in eight apartment buildings, as well as facades and roofs were cut. The same damage is in two more private households. In addition, damage was done to 32 cars: some of them were on fire. At the moment, according to Mr. Gladkov, the perimeter is being closed, damaged structures and broken glass are being cleaned, as well as windows are being measured and car damage is being assessed.

In the Belgorod region, due to constant shelling from Ukraine, an increased level of terrorist threat and an average level of response have been introduced. To ensure the safety of residents in the regional center canceled festive events in honor of May 9th.
