In the Tretyakov Gallery, my Ivan lingered for a long time in front of the painting by I.E. Repin “The Cossacks write a letter to the Turkish Sultan”. About our conflict with the so-called. He hears Ukrainians every day and therefore asked two questions: “Are the Zaporizhzhya Cossacks Russians or Ukrainians?” and “Why to the Sultan and what did they write to him?”. It was easier to answer the first question: “Yes, the Zaporizhzhya Cossacks are Russians, and they spoke Russian and prayed in Russian.” The second answer is also easy, if you miss one detail. Let’s put it this way: “To the Sultan – because then the Turks constantly attacked the lands where the Zaporizhzhya Cossacks lived, and the enmity was serious.” I know the contents of the letter almost by heart, but I did not quote it to the child, noting only that the Cossacks pretty much mocked the Sultan in the letter and rude him in obscene terms, but very to the point and fun. The child grunted and said: “I need to find this letter.” And he added: “Beautiful people, and it is clear that they did not know how to retreat and apologize.” I promised to give him “Taras Bulba” by N.V. Gogol, where everything is said about the Zaporizhzhya Cossacks and the rejection of the sultans and Poles (Poles).

I, in fact, why I started talking about a letter to the Sultan …

It would be possible for them by the upcoming Christmas (which God-desert Europe does not celebrate now) simply to send a copy of Repin’s painting with the text of the letter attached, and this would determine the general line of Russia in foreign policy now and in the future. Mikhalkov in one of his “Besogonovs” reasonably insisted that, by studying the paintings of artists, it is possible and should instill in young people a sense of love for the motherland, form a spiritual approach to all life circumstances, i.e. put the national culture above the primitive consumer goods of civilization. But there were, are and will be many obstacles in the way of cultivating high feelings, and among them is the dominance of economic principles (in the absence of a different ideology) and, as a result, the orientation towards the petty-bourgeois way of life as the goal of life. Our authorities, those in power, do not want to notice the presence of these barriers and deliberately erect them, killing the deep concept of culture.

Having fled from one extreme – strict political censorship in the USSR, liberal democracy has been guarding the other extreme for 30 years – complete permissiveness for television channels, radio stations and print publications to bring to light everything that comes to mind, out of place and out of time. Now the question is being discussed a lot: how Europe and America, hostile to us, managed to reformat the minds of many Ukrainians into hostile Russophobia. So they have been doing this for 30 years since the collapse of the USSR. We realized it only from the moment the NWO began in Ukraine. Well, they closed the ultra-liberal Echo of Moscow and Silver Rain, but watch our television. As L. Yakubovich rightly noted, one third of the country is at war, and two thirds are on vacation: solid shows, super shows, etc. Plus intrusive advertising of credit cards, sales, etc. But people are dying there. And one more thing: since early morning, we have been shown more and more destruction from Ukrainian shelling. I and many of my friends want to see destruction on enemy territory. Yes, precisely the enemy, since those who shoot at children, the elderly and our soldiers cannot be our friends. A person who gives and executes orders to kill civilians is already a potential criminal. And against the fighters of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, cases are initiated, and even condemned to terms and the death penalty. The bad thing is that later the convicted are changed as just prisoners, violating the rules of criminal and criminal procedure law, justifying this with some humane motives in relation to our prisoners, which in the minds of people puts an equal sign between criminals and soldiers.

Our criminology has long rid itself of the delusion that imprisonment is the right way to reform criminals. This is a punishment and nothing more. But complete impunity is definitely a direct path to irresponsibility and a signal that there will be nothing for the crime. A recent example is the aforementioned exchange of convicted mercenaries in the Donbass. I am sure that all the current mercenaries now know that everything will not end so badly for them.

We were shown how the “Nazis” from the Armed Forces of Ukraine shot our prisoners. This caused justified public indignation in Russia. But the “civilized” pro-Western world does not notice this crime, but the so-called. humanitarian international law is not a democratic value (constitutional!), which they so importunately impose on the whole world. Religious sacred values ​​have long been forgotten by Europe and America. Russia, on the contrary, tries to make everything spiritual a priority. There are voices in our parliament that the most correct thing is to find and destroy the commanders and perpetrators of the massacre. Personally, I’m for it! Then those who still survived will not be so impudent, and there is no point here to talk about the violation of some current legislation. By the way, it must be changed immediately by declaring the zone of military operations a zone for conducting an anti-terrorist operation (after all, Lukashenko has already done this in Belarus), or declaring a state of emergency in Novorossia.

At the same time, we will not part with our highest spiritual law, the Gospel. Of course, there are interpreters who will remind us of the Holy Scriptures and serve under the sauce of crafty hypocrisy, for example, the parable of Jesus Christ that “whoever strikes you on your right cheek, turn to him the other also.” But theologians have long explained to us that the Savior spoke of cases where these are your cheeks, and not someone else’s. When the Ukrofascists kill children, execute prisoners, etc., here they and their ideologists do not need to turn their cheeks. There is another dogma on this score: “Do not give holy things to dogs and do not throw your pearls before swine, so that they do not trample it under their feet and, turning, do not tear you to pieces” (ch. 7, verse 6). This is a providential warning for all time. For a peaceful human life, Jesus said: “Love your enemies” is quite applicable. But when it comes to fascist citizens of Ukraine and other countries, is it really our personal enemies? No, there should be a different measure here, say, found by the philosopher N.A. Berdyaev: “I have many enemies, infinitely more than friends, but my very first enemies are enemies of my faith, these are those who apostatized in their spirit from Christ, betraying Him and those who rebelled against Him in the name of earthly idols and gods. The world is entering such a difficult and responsible time when everything that is ambiguous, double-meaning, concealed and transitional must be religiously denounced. Christ brought not peace, but a sword. And the world must be cleaved by the sword of the Spirit among those who stand for Christ and against Christ.” It is amazing that this is understood not by modern philosophers from the Academy of Sciences, but by commanders and fighters fighting in Novorossia. Now ten of our military formations have won the right to be determined not by the unit number, but by the name of the Orthodox saint chosen by them (Alexander Nevsky, Archangel Michael, Peresvet, etc.).

This is a violation of a long tradition. As we can see, the enemies of Orthodoxy manage to destroy not only material, but also spiritual ties. There is still a “debriefing” in the future regarding the personalities who made decisions that destroy the canonical unity of the Orthodox churches.
