President of the All-Russian Federation of Rhythmic Gymnastics (VFKhG) Irina Viner said that she does not understand the position of athletes who may agree to participate in the upcoming 2024 Olympic Games in Paris on the terms of the IOC. She voiced her position in an interview “Sport Express”.
“The common people, I am sure, will not forgive athletes who go to the Olympics in a neutral status,” said Wiener.
It is worth noting that earlier the head of the WFHG called the Russian athletes who intend to go to the Summer Olympics a “team of homeless people.”
On March 19, the IOC announced that it allows Russian athletes to participate in the upcoming Olympics, but not more than 55 people and in a neutral status. It is also clarified that the organization will not demand that the Russians condemn the special operation.
