It is with these symptoms that men often come to urologists in the summer, said Andrey Khristo, a urologist-andrologist, a surgeon at the Open Clinic.

– Summer is the season of holidays, sea, sun, beach and good mood. Therefore, if patients come in the summer season, then it is with sexually transmitted diseases or their consequences,” Christo explained.

These are such unpleasant diseases as inflammation of the tissues of the prostate gland or, more simply, prostatitis, archepidemitis, inflammation of the foreskin, and many other variations on the topic of the infectious and inflammatory process.

“Summer is a time of meetings, sometimes pleasant, sometimes with consequences,” adds urologist-andrologist of the LDC “On Prospekt Mira” Sergey Myannik. “Therefore, health care is always relevant.

It’s hard not to notice the warning signs. Urology itself makes a man come to the doctor, doctors say. Even if at first the representative of the stronger sex succeeds in ignoring unpleasant sensations, they will not go away by themselves and will only grow, poisoning life. But there are also such symptoms, noticing which, you must immediately run to the clinic.

– This is a change in the color of the mucous membranes, redness, rashes, pain when urinating or constantly, pulling pains in the lower abdomen. Even if these symptoms periodically come on their own, for example, it was a couple of days, and then it passed, you need to go to the doctor and pass certain tests, urges Andrei Christo.

Gathering courage and enduring is a bad path. Such tactics will transfer the disease from acute to chronic. In the end, you still need to heal. Only longer and more expensive. In addition, many diseases of the genitourinary system can occur in a latent form for a long time and do not cause any discomfort at all. But in the future, they can “shoot” with high fever, rashes and even bleeding.

Sergey Myannik notes that ten genital infections are most common in the practice of urologists-andrologists. All of them are divided into four groups. The first is infections that are transmitted only sexually. These are ureaplasma, mycoplasma, chlamydia and so on. The second and third groups are viruses: herpes and human papilloma (HPV). Finally, the fourth group of diseases is the so-called coccal infections. The disease in this case is caused by bacteria that always live on the human body. But due to a decrease in immunity (for example, after hypothermia), they can begin to multiply too much, taking over the beneficial flora and worsening the patient’s quality of life.

Painful sensations are far from the biggest danger of pathogenic viruses and bacteria. If diseases of the intimate sphere are not treated, this can become a threat to childbearing.

– With these infections, a person can live for years and not have any problems. But at a certain age, once – and some weakness appears below. A person begins to suffer and not understand what it is and why. And there are tougher things like chlamydia or gonorrhea. They immediately make themselves felt in the form of inflammatory processes, which are quite acute, – Andrei Christo emphasized.

Sergey Myannik also called chlamydia the most unpleasant and dangerous sexually transmitted disease. Moreover, this infection also comes with a surprise, sometimes shocking.

– Often, with prolonged untreated, it causes urethral stricture. This is a decrease in diameter, which can lead to the pathology of the entire urinary system, including the bladder and even the kidneys, the urologist explained.

In addition, there is such a thing as the “chlamydial triad”: inflammation of the eye, large joints and urethritis. That is why doctors often baffle patients who come with complaints of pain, say, in the arm or knee. It seems that the joint hurts, and the doctor makes me take an analysis for chlamydia. Many patients are offended, but in vain. An infection not detected in time can lead to extremely negative consequences.

– At first, the infection may not make itself felt. Serious consequences develop within a few months, up to a year. A sluggish infection is always highly undesirable. It can even lead to cancer,” Sergey Myannik explained.
