Advisor Sullivan: the US military will not fight in Ukraine with the Russian Armed Forces
White House national security adviser Jake Sullivan, in an interview with NBC News, said that the US military would not fight the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in Ukraine. This position, he said, remains basic and permanent for the United States.
“One clear point – we are going to support Ukraine without American boots on the ground and American soldiers fighting Russian soldiers,” he assured American citizens, stressing that this key moment will remain constant throughout this conflict.
The Biden adviser added that the US does not want the conflict in Ukraine to “end in a third world war.”
Meanwhile, in this interview, he called the issue of Ukraine’s entry into NATO in the future resolved.
